    Stu, this photo is compositionally excellent. Do you mind sharing how it looks like before the processing? The halo on the tree's reflection and the tonal split in the sky do bother me a little bit, though.

    This adds an interesting abstractness to the sky. I would consider not using detail extraction and actually soften the elements of the image to blend more into an abstract you created with the sky. I do like the look of the isolated trees surrounded by water.
