    Killer frame Arash.

A cracking perch, so soft, muted, pastel colours, set against a gorgeous, natural backdrop, something sadly will not happen with my owls. The slight curvature of the tip of the branch illustrates just how light these birds are and you can understand why they are reluctant to fly in high winds. Overall the image has a very 'delicate' feel to it and I like the way the sharpness is centred more on the subject and less so on the branch. Cool choice of frame with the subject side on and face to camera, shows off the subject well.

Side lighting looks a tad bright, but well handled as expected.

Thanks Steve yes they are very light and delicate! It was overcast here and thus the big pupils which I thought gave him a curious character.

Being overcast was in your favour, so where was the RH light coming from, just interested.

Beautiful subject and light and a very complimentary perch, the whole colour palette is very pleasing.
I am curious about the intersecting line across the eyes, is this the nictitating membrane or some kind of highlight?

Lovely image, beautiful bird. I wish the Burrowing Owls in Florida had bushes like this to perch on. The perch so much enhances the image. Thank you for sharing, Arash.

there isn't any light coming from the RHS. The Owls just a bit ruffled there

Fine, guess it's just the light coming through, thanks.

hi Jon I am not sure if these owls have nictitating membrane. The eyes are wide open and you can see the clouds in the horizon there.

    cheers

Nice image Arash the pupils make this captivating I think the reflection of the horizon from behind you is the soft line in the eyes, which I like. The perch is one I wish we had, nice change from the ground or rocks. Details and exposure are spot on as always, maybe a slight clock wise rotation

Such a sweet image, Arash. I love the feel of this one as mentioned. The bird and image itself is quite delicate.

How cool is that! I was going to mention how neat the dilated pupils are before you mentioned them. I love the perch and BG. I guess not having the fg branch there in the LRC would have been better, but man o man this is a rockin' owl frame!

Lovely, crisp image Arash. Super sharp and nice delicate perch and beautiful background. I would be tempted to remove the piece of foliage sticking out top right as I dont think it adds anything to the image.

Nice frame Arash. Talk about soft, not sharp soft, just beautiful soft light. Love the pupils, the perch and the BG. Very nice

    This is exquisite, Arash!

Nice techs and thoughtful processing, lovely mood, something gentle and sweet about this frame - it must be the colours and composition? Or maybe that almost bewildered look in those perfectly round eyes - simply beautiful!

    Warmest regards,
    Gabriela Plesea
