    Default Chipping Sparrow

    A few mornings ago this bird that has been a nemesis of mine showed up in my backyard. Needless to say it was a great treat. There was more than one, no mistaking that distinctive high pitched trill, so I decided to wait for better light. A lifer for me. C&C welcome.

    D4S, Nikon 80-400mm @ 400mm, 1/2500s, f 5.6, HH, ISO 800.

    Grand little chap in full song. I would try and do something with the darkn area Geoff at the bottom.

    Lovely bird and calling pose. The darker part of the perch is hurting this image.

    The bird is lovely and stands out well against the nice smooth background. Nice that you have managed to capture it calling. The dark part of the perch has already been mentioned.
