Beautiful, Dan! I probably would prefer the bill to show completely.
BTW, is that the 70-200 II that you use with the 2x? How do you like it?

    Thanks for the comment, Adhika.
Yes, the lens is the 70-200 f2/8 version II.
It is an excellent walk around short tele lens with the 2x.
I use it when I travel.
Not the quality of the 300 f2.8 or longer super teles, but it more than holds its own.
Of course the 70-200 is not cheap.

I like the terrain he's on, and the water beyond. I also like seeing him in breeding plumage (I guess that's what it is -- he looks very different from the ones I see during a New Jersey winter.) Sure, the full bill and feet would have been a bonus, but nice as is.

    All been said Dan
Love the colour pallette on this one. Feet and bill end would have clinched it. Pity but can;t be helped.

Nice shot of this guy foraging in a natural environment. I like the moss on the rocks and the white water In the background. Details look good to me but I might brighten up just a little bit. Well done Dan

That's awesome. I have the 70-200 f/4 and use it a lot for my landscape work. Now I see the benefit of getting the 2.8II! Thanks for sharing!
