    Ok, here's my first try with the 100-400 II - a European Robin.
    Sharpened whole image a bit, otherwise no PP.

    Would love to hear your comments !

    Stan, What a cut little bird. I might consider cropping from the LHS, above. The white lichen above his head is not ideal, but doesn't worry me. In PP, it seems to be more common practice to select the bird only for sharpening, this would make the bird stand out and the BG drift away.

    Nice catch -- the bird looks very sharp. I'd crop a little closer, top to get rid of the small branch, and L to remove some empty space, and consider some cleanup in the branches on the right. Otherwise looks very nice. Not the most ideal perch but not bad either, as the falloff in focus lets the bird's head stand out.

    Nice-looking bird, interesting perch. I agree with the cropping suggestions. I would also think about doing something to swap the brightnesses of the bird and the tree. Ihtisham
