    This Reed Cormorant had just finished preening, and seemed to be offering a feather - unfortunately, there was no one around. Taken early morning at my local pond.

    Canon 1D Mark IV
    Canon 300mm F/2.8 +2 X TC = 600mm
    1/1250
    F/6.3
    ISO 800

    Manual exposure.

    Hi Stu, lovely control of the blacks and I like the pose. Perch looks good as well, and the BG makes for a pleasing image.

    Nice looking frame Stu. The feather details look great and I'm glad we can see the red eye well. The beautiful perch and the nice smooth green BG finish this one off real well. Great work

    Stu I like the nice simplicity of this image,agree the perch and that nice clean backdrop finishes it off nicely.Feather detail on the bird looks excellent.

    This is beautiful Stu. Ditto all that is said above, but I can't help but feel the perch should have an end. Do you have a bit more on the LHS?

    Thanks Glennie. I dont have any more, as I just wanted to ensure that I had the vertical part of the perch in the frame. I agree having no space on the left isnt ideal.
