    Default Theme: Desperately Seeking Symmetry

    Folks,

Greetings. Some polar fun. Started with the banana leaf I posted a while back (2/11/16).

Mostly aside from the mini-world treatment, rotate and repeat polar coordinates working off of a selected circle image. Red fill layer for the color.

    Thanks for looking.

    Cheers,

I don't think I was aware until visiting the Dali museum in St Petersburg last year just how much the title can contribute to appreciating a work of art. This is so dynamic and asymmetric on its own, but the title reinforces that feeling. In this case, I particularly like that the image is darker at the top than at the bottom because that adds to its energy.

I completely agree with Dennis. The flowing curves are graceful. The different tones of black and grey add depth and interest. I was intrigued by Dennis' comment about dark and light and energy that I flipped the image vertically and discovered that it lost much of its tension. Much better as presented.

The desperately seeing theme soooo fits. Those swirls seem to be seeking a "place". The red is the perfect dynamic touch. Banana? wouldn't know from this, which is part of the fun part of this exercise. Glad you didn't use yellow. It would not have made the inpact

Michael, I love this! The color is perfect for the image and I absolutely love the curving swirls with the gold tips.

    Dennis, Anita, Hazel, Cheryl,

Thanks for your comments. They are much appreciated. It's funny... this is one of those images that has grown on me. At first, I wasn't sure if I'd post it, but I liked it more after a couple of days. Then the name worked out. ;-)

    Cheers,

    -Michael-
