Our first grandchild is suddenly on the way, in Los Angeles. We'll be driving down tonight or early tomorrow. I plan to stay a couple of weeks to help out -- may have time to check in occasionally but priorities will be elsewhere.

Carry on -- there's a great group here!!

Big congratulations, Diane! Best wishes for the mother and the baby! I will be away for a conference next week in Florida*, but after I come back, give me a ping if you are still in LA and have time to meet up. :)

Congratulations Diane. Grandchildren...a challenge and an honour.

Adhika. Sorry I can't make it to the alligator farm!

Glennie, what?! I thought we had a deal. LOL. Any plan to come to this other side of the hemisphere?

Diane: Best wishes to you and your family. Hoping to see some pics from you, maybe in the "Wildlife" forum, of your grandchild. :)

    Thanks, guys!

Wiley (nickname Peaches) small at 5 1/2 lbs but absolutely gorgeous and very healthy by all the metrics. She's hardly been out of papa's arms. All three share a room, which is wonderful.

Gina says she's not ready for a portrait yet.

Oh dear God, I hope not!! I think she may be an equal cross between Gina and Jeremy -- they're both worthy of copying!

How lovely! What a gorgeous family. I think we (at the ATL) should have a few portrait lessons! I suppose it's pretty much the same as shooting birds?
