    Hi folks something to inspect closer ....
    where is the subject hidden ?
    I actually forgot the species name .... the guide spotted the subject or he knew that the subject might stay there .... who knows .He told me he just spotted it , i could not believe it as it was some distance to the subject .
    Image taken recently in Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve in India .

    EF 200-400 IS L with TC engaged

    F 5,6 ; 1/1600 sec ; iso 640

    Processed with DPP 4 and PS CC ; cropped slightly for comp .

    Andreas nearly had to go and get my other glasses to find this,it's marvelous how these birds blend into the surroundings ,very good natural history shot.
    Guess at a Spotted Owlet or it's Indian equivalent,but tis only a guess.

    Great camo, looks like part of the woodwork. Took me a few seconds to figure out what I was looking at

    I like the forked trunk against the sky and the texture on the log is very interesting

    Usually I prefer owls with open eyes but here the closed eyes add to the camo effect

    "You cannot see me... but I do see you..." Even with "eyes wide shut".... incredible camo and image.

    Very cool small in the frame image. This is why their cavities are so difficult to find. Great job on choosing your composition.
