One evening in Trinidad we did a bit of night-birding. There were lots of Paraques in the fields, and a great look at a Potoo in flight (the flight shot unfortunately not captured on camera), plus another sitting on a post which I will share soon. With the help of the local guide we found this fellow not too deep into the woods, but mostly screened by the forest-edge vegetation. About the time we found a small viewing window and were setting up, he decided he had had enough of the flashlight, and flew deeper into the woods. Luckily, he came back to the same perch a few minutes later. This time we kept the light off him until we were set up and ready to acquire focus, and he stuck around. This was shot vertically and cropped to about 75% of full height. I didn't notice the ant until I processed this.
