    Default Fall Faerie...

    Hello,

Here is an Hermit Trush photographied at the Umstead National Park during fall... During a business trip II took a day off to go hiking at this wonderful park in North Carolina... It was november and the temperature was exceptionnally high (79 Fahrenheit).

Alone in the forest, the only sound heard was the sound of the leaves falling gently on the ground... Suddenly this lovely Hermit Trush kept my attention... Time stopped while we were looking at each other... I love those moments where the bird is so confident to my presence... This confidence came from the fact that the Trush was cleaning himself even if I was at, maybe, 15 feet from him...

This forest was then the home of only 2 living beings: Me and this splendid Hermit Trush... I feel then very privilegied...

Thanks for commenting my picture :-)

Great find and pose, Michel! I'm usually not too fond of busy BGs but it works really well here as the mood is great. Is the color cast due to fall foliage? Could you post some techs? Thanks for sharing and keep them coming.

    Hello Axel,

Thank your for your nice comment... It is really appreciated...

    Could you post some techs?
    Oups! I forgot them...

Ok! I just added them above...

Is the color cast due to fall foliage?
Yes! The color are totally natural and the cast is dued to the fall foliage...:)

    Thanks again!

Great pose. BG doesn't bother me too much, but I think the bird needs to be a little brighter and the BG a bit darker. Here's a repost.

Very moody lighting here which I like very much. I might blur the BG just a touch though I don't find it distracting at all. I just think a little blur would take the emphasis from shape to color. Very nice just as presented too.

I too like the BG here and the color cast is a lovely complementary hue. I like the BG a bit darker as suggested.

Beautiful image and what a wonderful find. Love the lighting and mood of this image and I like Doug's repost as the bird seems to pop a tad more. Lovely work Pilonm !!
