Perfect foraging pose for the theme!
Great POV and like the BG of water and wave.
I would crop out some of the OOF FG ( say take away half of it).
The eye is sharp but not tack sharp. A bit more sharpening of that area might resolve the issue. These little birds are so fast and the super rapid drilling motion of the bill that I usually try to get a SS of 1/2000 in this situation.
In a perfect world the shell would not intersect with the bill but still very nice as presented,

Nice looking RP Joe. I really like the detail within the browns and blacks, and a great looking POV.

Excellent image but needs a bit of a crop from the bottom since the foreground is a touch too dominant.

Good one Joe. Like the surf BG. Would tone down the white patchesw below the bird but no big deal

Hi Joe, I like the low perspective here, and well timed to capture the bill foraging in the sand. I do like the colours on this fellow, and agree that maybe still a touch more off the bottom in your RP. I would also take a bit off the top.

The repost does take the heaviness of the bottom part out, so that is an improvement. The crashing wavelet is thankfully subdued and not overly bright. Good foraging pose, with a bit of bad luck on the shell/bill merge.
