    A Kookaburra in early morning light hoping to catch breakfast. 5D3 100-400 II plus Canon 2x 800mm 1/640 f11 ISO1000 ev+1. Manual focus resting on window ledge (Sorry Artie, no time to set up the tripod!). A bit of fine feather detail lost in the crop from horizontal.

    This one looks pretty sharp and the EXP looks good too. It does look a bit over-sharpened/crunchy. Light is on the very harsh side and I do not care for the deep shadow. a

    These are the guys that tried to pinch our sausages on our trip.Like the nice clear view of the bird but do agree with Arthur it all does look a bit hard.

    Nice to see a bird that is not often posted here on BPN.
    The large crop has really hurt the image as well as the harsh light.
