Hi Sanjeev -- Nice simple portrait of the Sambar Deer. Looks sharp but the light seems a bit tricky and you have done quite well inspite of that . I wish that dominant eye was more lit up .

    TFS !

Hi Sanjeev. Not quite sure where your fp is but looks like it may have been mid forehead. I don't think F6.3 does this justice and the light is a bit difficult to work with but nice portrait anyway.

Hi Sanjeev - You handled difficult lighting well and brought out nice detail. Love the long eyelashes. Nice to see the Sambar too. I think you needed both more ss and more dof on this one though. With the Sambar chewing you can see some movement in the mouth area.

Hi Sanjeev a nice simple portrait of the Sambar , wish i would have get the chance of something like this in Bandhavgarh .
Very nice creamy BG and you handled the light very well .
I just might give the lighter tones in the neck a bit more Oomph .
I agree a bit more more DOF would have been better ... as you had more ISO to play with ... easy to say with hindsight

    Nice one , TFS Andreas

Hi Sanjeev, quite a nice portrait, but I would try to get a bit more 'richness' from within the image, get some of that nice light to come through the ears and highlight that red. However, just don't flood it with Saturation or Vibrance as you will choke the detail, you need to coax it out. Agree on more DoF and the SS.

    Hi Sanjeev

Played a little with midtones, masked curve and a D&B layer.
    WDYT?
Do not like the soft muzzle as he was chewing..
    Regards

    Andre.

Andre, I think your RP is good, it does enhance the image well. I will re work the raw on those lines. Thanks a lot.
