A superb image for its simplicity and the detail is excellent.

    Very clean detailed portrait.

Is this straight out of camera? Cropped? any PP? Im assuming at 500mm +TC that its straight out of camera?

Nice image. Good composition, HA, and I like the orange feet. Have you tried increasing the contrast a little? Maybe a little brighter to reduce the gray color tone of the background.

Jim did wonder about a little bit more at the bottom ,but that apart I do think the detail and texture of the feathers is lovely, think Adrian's comment above covers my thoughts spot on.

I love the walk here. Those feet are adorable. Very clean, indeed.

Hi Jim, lovely clean image, good low shooting angle, and I like the splash of purple from the wing.

Thanks everyone for the comments and suggestions. Sorry for the slow response I was on vacation for the past week trying to escape a cold spell here. Anthony it is close to full frame. I can't remember what I did in PP but it was very minimal.
Patrick I didn't try a version with increased contrast. The BG was very gray in real life so I don't mind it but feel free to adjust the image if you want to.
