Another one of Big Red having a tidy up. Bit annoyed about the BG cutting through the head, but you live and learn!

Hi Mike, looks like you were in the water with this capture - love this perspective. I really like the light, detail and overall colours, and the head is tack sharp. Maybe a bit more room below for the rest of the virtual legs and feet.

Colours are good, the detail excellent as is composition. I love the base i.e. water with vegetation. Nice work. I think you had a blast with this bird:)

I like the pose, setting, layers and IQ. I would like a little more room below as well. Very nice image Mike!

This looks like Big Red from FD. It doesn't look as though you had much choice. You couldn't have gone lower and shot up b/c your gear would have been in the drink from what I am seeing. I prefer this low angle to the one had you been shooting from higher. All in all, I think you made a fine image here. I absolutely love your low angle and the vegetation in the water. Terrific light, colors, pose, and love those feathers on the neck and tail.

    Cheers Stu,

Yep, it was lovely lying in the warm water - I need my drysuit to try that over here! Good call with the room below as well.
