This image was made on Saturday evening after a long day of "Meet the Artists" at the newest Florida Conservation Photographer display at Weedon Island (Thanks Chad, Van, and Christina for a fun afternoon). I got super messy out at Ft. Desoto, and loved every moment of it.

Just a quick image, and now I've gotta' hop back on the chain gang.

    Shooting Solution
    Camera: Nikon D300
Lens: Sigma 500 f/4.5, manually focused
    Manual Exposure, 1/1000 @ f/8, ISO 400
Laying on my stomach, lens attached to "Shadle Slider"

    Thanks for looking!

Comments welcome and much appreciated :)

Looking good Blake. Once I get my back in order, I need to go out there for a day in the sand.

Great angle, pose, use of DOF, light and details. I might crop a bit off the bottom.

A very good image... the low perspective & light rocks! I'd also shave a small portion off of the bottom.

Lovely light and great definition. Loving your creamy bGs :)

Although I love OOF sand, I'd also take a little bit off.

    Good going!

Very neat! I like the movement in the scratching foot. At first glance I would have mistaken this for a Semipalmated Sandpiper!

I like it a lot Blake! The lifted leg with a hint of motion is a big plus.

Awesome light, angle and pose. This has a soft and cuddly feel to me which I like a lot.

The only thing I find in the least bit distracting is the spot on the breast above the leg that is significantly brighter than the rest of the image. Nowhere near cooked though, so you could bring it down if you choose.

Oh this is sweet Blake. Love the soft lighting and the action you captured in this image. The detail is excellent as well as the exposure. Really beautiful work.

    Hey Blake!!

    Long time no speak!

Lovely colors, angle and pose. Perhaps a little CW rotation? Very nice as presented!
