Corn Buntings are getting to be a rare bird in my neck of the woods but this one comes to my little pool to drink and bathe.

Thanks for taking a look and your comments and tips on my last post.

Hi Keith I very much like the low angle and the fact you retained the reflection, just works getting at eye level with the subject. However.... I do think it's bit saturated and there is quite a strong 'yellow' influence coming through IMHO.

Some simple tweaks and I think you will have an image worthy of your time spent achieving it. Again, if you want some points in direction let me know, hope I'm right.

Hi Keith, great low perspective here, and you managed a good HA too. I would maybe remove the smaller lower catchlight, even though its a reflection from the water, and maybe smoothen out the specular highlights in the BG. Steve has a point regarding a yellow 'cast'. Playing in pp should get you on the right direction.

Thanks Steve and Stu,have dropped the yellows and tried to stay true to the birds colour, and removed the catch lite.

Nice image of this handsome bird well positioned in the frame. Lovely pose with eye contact and nice reflection, Keith.

Hi Keith I think it's better, going in the right direction. Personally I think you could tweak it a bit more, but as I haven't seen this guy it would be hard to say how far to go. Critical thing is, it's sharp and you have a reasonable SS, could have gone higher if you wanted to with ease!!!

Just remember, don't let slow SS's evade your captures.

Nice shot I too think a little yellow.
(Just a very quick levels in Photoshop and then using the three sampler droppers dark, light and white gives a good result)

I think the repost is a big improvement.
    Great POV and good IQ.
I could see this as a vertical as well,
