Image captured in Tobago 3 weeks ago. This is quite a unique bird and clearly distinct with its yellow eye ring. C&C welcome.

    D4S, Nikon 500mm + 1.4 TC, 1/1000s, ff, f 6.3, ISO 1600, Gitzo tripod, Wimberley Gimbal head.

Removed some distracting twigs in cs6.

Geoffrey I saw these on my trip to Tobago and got them feeding like crazy on old mangoes, not the best perch for your shot but think the pose of the bird makes up for that, agree with you about the yellow eye ring, very well caught.

    Hi Geoff.
Nice one. All would do perhaps is tone down the bright twigs a little.

Nice pose of a cool looking bird but removing some more twigs would improve the image IMO.

Lovely bird and pose but the branch above the birds head reslly hurts this image.

Great head turn that shows off that signature eye ring. Lovely green forest bg. I don't mind the twigs but I agree with Marina about the oof branch.
