This blue tit was nibbling at the goat willow catkins in the back garden, I almost wish for a space between the bill and the catkin but then it would be feeding and wing flapping would it?

Excellent Jon, you are certainly making the most of the garden and achieving some excellent/cracking and exciting stuff. I like the fact the branch is slightly angled, as if this lightweight guy is pulling it back as he lands/feeds. I also like the way you have the wing upright with a slight motion blur, again just creates interest and sets it from the norm. Sweet BKG, with nice soft tones, although is the bottom RHC not as smooth??? I wonder if there was a fraction more on the left and less on the right.

Your producing some nice work Jon, well done.

Think the delicate ***** willow perch and that nice smooth bg make for a very nice image Jon,colour and detail on the bird looks spot on.

Thanks everyone glad you like it.
Keith I notice about 4 years ago you cannot use the UK acronym for the willow, it was only after brief reflection I remembered it is regarded as a swear word or vulgar word in USA!!

Beautiful image Jon! I like the wing position, blur, complimentary perch, BG and composition. Growing up in the 60's ***** willow was the term used then and now in Canada.
