Hi Haseeb - A tender moment and nicely framed. I like the visible tongue. The blacks look a little strong though. Why such a high ss? You could have dropped your ISO and still had more than enough ss.

Hi Haseeb, I like the interaction, but I feel just moving the frame a fraction left you would have retained the back of the Cheetah and lost that vertical blade of grass. Agree on dropping the ISO, 1/3200 would have been more than sufficient and freeze any action that may have followed. The Blacks are a fraction choked, but just looking at it in PS. I do feel the colour looks a fraction bright, just reducing the Exp, Highlights & Whites helps tonally, but I also feel that you can get some more depth from both the subject & the FG grass with some simple toggling with colours like yellow, blue & greens, I think you'll know where I'm going, it reduces that 'brightness' look I think. BTW any cloning in the BKG?
Some simple refinements IMHO will elevate the image, but a cool sighting.

Thank you Rachel , Steve and Stu !!
Thanks for your suggestions , will work upon it advised by you guys ! High Iso just to get on the safer side of the light happened to detoriate because of overcast conditions and the dark clouds here and there , but certainly lesser iso and in turn ss 1/3200 would have been more than sufficient .

A nice sighting and interaction Hasseb, but I agree with comments above,, A little more to the left would be nice.

Hi Haseeb this is so lovely and peaceful looking image of the Cheetah´s .
I really love the low POV and the comp .
From the tonal perspective i agree with Steve that something could be done in terms of blacks and some more separation in the greenery . But think the overall exp does look ok to me .
Just wondering about the somehow " crunchy" look in the fur ,,might the blacks choking up things" .
Great frame !!!!!

Sad to hear about the one lost to a croc...
You've received some good feedback above, Haseeb. I would like to see this as a high-key mono version, given the washed out sky?

Hi Haseeb
Losing one of the family is very emotional to one/s left behind, experienced that before in Kalahari.
I do think that the blacks are a bit choked with no detail.
Cheetah fur is very coarse, difficult to get detail.
Maybe Morkel's suggestion hold some water, but a lot of D&B needs to be done.
Agree with a bit tighter crop as suggested by Steve.

Dear Haseeb,
Love this tender moment you have captured here, well composed and nice POV. A rare case of too much SS, but it happens on occasion to others too, LOL
I too think you could extract more detail in the blacks. Also, the cheetahs' fur colour appears a bit oversaturated to me - too orange, so to speak. Their fur is normally coarse and grey, with a tad of orange/yellow here and there. You mentioned levels - could you perhaps go back on that layer and reduce percentage? Did you apply the changes selectively? Tell us more, perhaps we can help - this is such a special image, love the interaction!
This is one keeper for sure, you received some good advice from Steve above so I look forward to your RP, very much!
Kind regards,
