Tightness here is a mater of taste, I sort of like this tight images. The focus here is the eye an would make it pop as much as possible. Feel it can be improved a bit by lightening and increasing the contrast.

Z for making the image large, magic wand for selecting the eye, like using hue/sat for lightening and saturating the eye and that is it !!!
