    What a super image, Karl...my nemesis WP. I have yet to see or photograph one. You've got a great pose here, a nice clean bg and plenty of details. Well done!

    Very nice Karl.
    Great BG and excellent IQ.
    I like the pose -shows him just as he is about to fly off.
    Marina- I have 2 pairs of hairy woodpeckers that live in my backyard. Come and visit them anytime!

    All been said already. I personally would like a bit of something OOF in the BG but thats just me.

    A beauty, Karl. We have a pair that visits our feeders, but I've never gotten such a nice dynamic shot as this one. Well done!

    You were close.... cool take off pose. No one mentioned it but it seems you have a tiny bit of motion blur to me....
