Nice preening pose captured, Bill. Perch looks good, the background could loose at least the top brown spot or both.

    Hi Bill,
I like the preening pose and the perfectly sized pretty perch and your choice of comp.
I am not loving the brown triangle in the BG and the white feathers around the eye look quite hot.
Am I seeing a slight purplish cast?

Thanks Karl and Gail. Here's a version with the voids in the large Arrowroot leaf filled in to eliminate the brown patches. The forehead wasn't blown, but was pushing the low 240's. I've burned it just slightly to get it into the 230's. I thought the original image looked a little cool, so I warmed it slightly with an orange filter. In this repost I've pushed the slider just a tad toward green, which looks better to me. Thanks for the comments.

I am sorry to say this image isn't working for me. Love that green BG and the 2 pieces of vegetation on the perch are great. The bird's butt appears sharper than the head, and I am not a fan of the partially open eye and the turned away head.
