    Blue Tit in hazel.

Some say that doing birds in the garden is easy. I certainly don't find it so. I am still trying to get the Blue Tit shot that will do me. Not there yet..
Used the garden hide yesterday but got too cold. Back to shootuing through the window- much warmer !
This is in a Hazel in the garden- not a setup perch
Late afternoon sun from the right
The white in the eye is the reflection of the white house wall and window.

    70% of frame.
Neat image. Part of blurred tit removed in BG
    Curves in PSP
    Thanks for looking.

    Hi John,
What a lovely bird. Wish we had them in Nova Scotia.
I like the bird but must admit the reflection in the eye is a bit odd looking. At first I thought it was "steel eye" from using a flash but then read your explanation.
Since you have already done some cloning work, I would evict the foliage that is dropping down from the upper frame on the right of the bird.
If you have it, I would add more room on the bottom to include the entire seed pod at the bottom of the frame. This would also move the tit up into the LUC which I think would be more pleasing to the eye.
I love the colors in the BG and the sidelight.
I little bit more sharpening of the beak area would be good.
A very nice frame . TFS

Lovely shot John I like the psoe, there seems to be a line or area of less sharp detail running from the bill to the eye.
You may want to emphasise his blue head a little??
