    Default Juvenile Brahminy Kite

    When shooting, I thought it was a juvenile Pallas fish eagle, but after checking, it turned out to be a Juvenile Brahminy Kite. Oh well. Mouvi Bazar, Bangladesh.
    Canon 1D M4/500mm f4 II/1/2000s / iso400 / f5.6. I handheld the camera but supported it on car roof.
    Probably could be cropped better - maybe more space behind tail? Thanks for looking. C/C welcome. Ihtisham

    Like all the colours on the bg and the perch,great looking bird in a nice pose ,don't know if it's these eyes of mine but it does look a little soft see what others think.

    I like the regal pose, good bg, and very unique perch. The image does look soft as posted, likely just needs a round of post-resizing sharpening. As for your question, no, you do not need more space behind the tail. I would however take about half the perch out from below as the lowerr half of it is a bit "messy" for my personal taste.

    Keith, Daniel, Arash - many thanks for your feedback. The softness was probably due to my not sharpening the image prior to posting - here is a sharpened version. What do you think?

    The sharpened version is somewhat better have a look at the eye at 100% on your raw file - is it sharp, I mean sharp sharp?
