    Default Copper-rumped Hummingbird

    Image from trip to Trinidad and Tobago a couple of weeks ago. This amazing creature decided to land and proceed half walking and half flying to the blossom. He is also known for his white socks, I like to think of them as spats. This is a lifer. C&C welcome.

    D4S, Nikon 500mm + 1.4 TC, 1/2000s, f 8.0, ff, ISO 2000, Gitzo tripod, Wimberley Gimbal head.

    I like the loose composition, flowers and perch hugging pose. Nice image Geoffrey.

    This is a lovely looking frame Geoffrey, I can see the nice detail on the bird, although, I feel that the bright BG is a wee bit distracting.

    That is pretty cool behaviour you witnessed! I like the "perch", flowers, and much of the background (but it could use a bit of NR). The brighter leaves could be toned down, and the oof stem skimming the subject's head is unfortunate. Love those tiny feet...
