I found a little time this weekend for short boat ride to a near by rookery. It's always great to see spoonbills return. I have watched them on this small island for 5 years now and it seems like we have 3-4 nesting pairs this year.

Cloned out part of the perch to make it less overwhelming.

Ditto what Artie said. The wings are lovely but I am really missing those feet.

Great colours and feather detail in the wings. Good aperture choice to get adequate DOF. Perch is a bit heavy in the image and hiding feet is a disappointment in an otherwise good opportunity.

Too bad it did not land at the very top of the perch! I do like the pose and colours.

Hi Robert, well timed for the landing showing the feather detail on the wings. Love the colour of these guys, and I like the hint of clouds in the sky. Feet mentioned.

Thanks for the feed back. Yea I wish the feet were visible, But the wing position was the best of this landing. Perhaps I can nail it next weekend.

Besides not seeing the feet, the rest looks awesome. Love the pose and the pastel colors. The techs and IQ look good and the perch really makes the image special. Well done
