Bird, sharpness, colors, and BKGR all superb. Perch? Not superb.

The details in this bird are absolutely amazing, as are the colors. I like the pose and agree the perch isn't ideal but it's not bad and the BG is awesome!

Really fine image of a beautiful bird Bill. Wonderful use of FF to bring out that gorgeous color and detail. BG is killer good. Well done. :-)

Thanks folks. Artie, I cloned out an oof branch running behind the tail, and then low opacity clone and paintbrush tools to temper several bright and distracting elements in the bg, followed by a slight Gaussian blur. I agree; I wish he had chosen a nicer perch, but the advantage of this one was that it was in the open (not always the case in a rain forest), and not far above eye level.

Beautiful IQ, colors, pose and BG. Perch is not ideal for sure, I still like the image. TFS.

Excellent capture, Bill. Very nice detail, head turn, and use of fill. Like the BG too.

Hi Bill, lovely pose, striking colours, and overall, you have nailed the sharpness bringing out the finer plumage so well. Good DOF on the bird too.

What a great looking bird and the details and colors in this shot are beautiful. I don't mind the natural perch, as this is what the bird chose, and the BG is perfect. Well done on your trip.
