I spent a fun couple of days with Alan Murphy at his Alamo workshop in January. Here's a wild Barn Owl I photographed with Alan one afternoon. Definitely THE trip highlight for me!

    Doug:

Certainly would have made my trip as well. Excellent pose with full downstroke wing position, nice angle in frame, soft light and background with just enough detail to provide some depth.

I like the fine feathers projecting forward on the facial disc.

    A beauty!

    Cheers

Nice down wing pose, good detail and sharpness against complimenting multicolor background.

What an amazing photo. That photo would have made my entire trip. Love talons peaking out behind and the vegetation.

Perfect image of this lovely bird. I especially like the fluffed out feathers on the face.

Wow! Huge congrats on a killer good IF Doug. Love the wing position and the head looking forward, and all in front of a beautiful BG. Excellent work. :-)
