Took this a few weeks ago - I assume it's a mating call, Bird continued to lift its tail whilst making a call.
    (Black Shouldered Kite.)

    Sharpened a tad.

    Thanks, comments appreciated.

I like the pose and eye contact. The angle is a bit steep and I would sharpen the bird as it looks quite soft on my monitor.

that 1600mm is a lot of reach Lance....but seems you did well and the equipment didn't let you down one bit.
Agreed about a bit more selective sharpening if it can take it, just stay away from the bird perimeter

My own personal preference would be to take a bit off the bottom.........a pleasure to view

    Hi,

I don't mind the steep part of it but the image looks very soft in my monitor.

I really like this out-of-the-box composition, it works very well for me! More sharpening needed, and then you'll have a great image instead of a good one :-)

It is a mating call Lance !!! Could you get closer to the bird? Would love seeing larger in frame btw can't imagine the shutter speed focal length combo !!!!! Amazing !!!
