    Hi All, This is one that I took on Sanibel Island back in March whilst on a visit to Florida. They sure are hard to keep up with!!
    40D 100-400IS @340mm
    200ISO
    F8 / 1000sec
    AV mode
    10am bright and sunny

    Hi Nicki Tell you a secret for these guys !!! Flat on the ground and wait for them !!! Will be crawling all over you !!!

    I like the look back and space given to the right. Can brighten the image in general and would particularly work on the eye. For my shorebird images I pay particular attention to the feet an their position. I like the shape of the legs here and seem to add to the look of the bird !!!

    love the compo and the look back from the bird. there seems to be a bluish cast to the pic that can be corrected with a color balance. cool image!!!
