This morning Dottie and I went to the rookery at the alligator breeding pond in Gatorland, Orlando, Florida. I captured this image of a Great Egret chick, one of three in the nest. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

I like the foreground chick and the one on the left is incidental but unfortunately the OOF bill in the background detracts form the main subject for me. I appreciate it is easy for me to say and much more difficult for you to remedy.
I do like the overall feel of the image. spot-on exposure, great pastel-like colours. The main subject pointing up is very good. I agree the BG bill is unfortunate the way it is cut...not easy getting a clear BG with those tightly occupied nests.
Thanks everyone for viewing and commenting, very much appreciated. Searching the images I captured yesterday morning I found this similar one I like better. The partial eye is showing on the out of focus chick rather than just the bill.

I prefer the softer tones in the ORIG. The second bill would not have been such a problem if the end of it were not cut off... The head angle in both images is a bit off with the bird's head turned too much to its right... Good job with SH and EXP. a
