A fun subject for sure. Good quality light and resulting nice colours. Neat shadow cast on the ground. I do find the top part of the image a bit unfortunate with all that white beach litter though. Tough to avoid unless getting down really low, which I realize is not always an option due to a few possible factors.
Hi Joe,
You have a very nice basic image design. Do note that the subject is angled ever-so-slightly away from you... Most of the whites on the flanks look a bit on the gray side but one patch looks borderline hot. You might spend a while on beach clean-up with a variety of PS tools but best, as Dan mentioned, would have been to get down flat...

Thanks everyone for viewing, commenting and suggesting improvements to the image. Very much appreciated...
Above is an edit with some housekeeping done to clean up the background. I shot this image from the deck of a house I rented on Alligator Point in Panacea, Florida. The deck over hanged and extended out over the bay. The Oystercatcher flew in landed briefly and quickly flew off. I got off two frames before it left being spooked by my presence on the deck. Thanks again for all.
