    Default Venice Rookery Update

I went there Saturday 2/27/2016 .. Been a couple of years since I was there. It was quite productive albeit coolish 48 degrees .. The rookery was very active including some heron chicks. Just need to be aware of the background in your shots. My question for those who frequent the rookery is how active is it into mid May early June? Thanks

It varies from year to year but it usually busier earlier on that in May or June. I would check back into this forum and pose the question again, but I'm pretty confident it's rarely anywhere near as busy or productive in May or June.
