    This is the second frame right after the take off.
    It flew very close passing me by.

    Very dramatic pose, not one I have seen a lot of on Red Tails, strong sense of action. Great eye contact, sense of purpose.

    Killer Karl!! Very cool pose. This is one of those frames that I sharpen, then sharpen the head only once more. It can make a big difference on some images like this. Well done

    Hi Karl,

    Beautiful shot. The face is in focus and the quite symmetrical out of focus areas add some sense of movement and life - at least for me. My personal view is that we are not aiming for an engraved plate from a bird textbook for every bird image; are we?
