A basic rule of photographic composition is that a flying bird should be given space to fly into, and should not be seen flying toward an edge of the frame. This rule was violated in this shot of a Rock Shag on Weddell Island, the Falklands. But the other bird at the lower part of the image, that seemed to be directing air traffic, made this shot work for me.

Ha ha, the other bird made me chuckle when I first saw it - I was not expecting that! In that sense the image worked as it got an audible response from me. I still think you could crop a bit at right and add it to the left. Thanks for sharing!
I had the same exact response as Daniel, before reading his comment. Would absolutely consider crop from the right, would balance much better for me, and esp. if you have a bit more room to add on the left.
