Im testing the waters here and trying to present something different. I was on my way out of this location when I decided to take a few shots of the flamingo's. I was shooting from my car on a road which was much higher than the water, thus giving me an eye level perspective of the Flamingo's head. Taken early morning in Cape Town.

Great to see a different thought process. It's a 9.5 out of 10 for me, the only nit being I wish you'd been slightly to your right so the Flamingo had the blue BG in front of him rather than behind. Techs spot on as always.

For some reason this one is a little funny as it is peaking out of the vegetation. I like the head sticking out of the clear blue spot. Track sharp and cool water drops on the neck and head. Maybe a little less canvas on the left? Well done.

Good shot ! I agree a little less canvas on the left might balance things a bit.

Excellent exposure and focus, the water drops are a real plus. I like the playfullness of the bird popping out of the brush. Agree with Mike that shot a little more from the right would have been optimal. I'd also crop some from the left to make this flamingo just a little less centered.

    Hi Stu,

It's always good to have new ways of looking at things, and this is a sweet departure from the ordinary. I agree that it might be better to crop some off from the left, but this is a technical and artistic beauty.
