    Finally got a pretty snow. didn't last long but was nice. Not much PP work. Taken w my iphone 6s

    The motion blur of the snowflakes adds nicely to this scene. I read somewhere that incorporating elements to give a Z shape is a good thing to do in a painting, and I extrapolated that to include digital images. Although the corners aren't connected, the three main areas with snow sort of make a Z, so I darkened the road and background to make it more apparent. (It adds some contrast, too.)

    I, too, noticed the Z in the image. I like that you used a slow enough shutter speed so that one can see the falling flakes.

    Nice composition Hazel! I too like the motion of the falling snow. We haven't gotten any snow here this year despite getting some just 60 miles north. Bummer!

    Using a slow shutter speed was most effective. Thanks to Dennis for the Z tip.
