I was walking through a local grassland last fall when I spotted a sparrow to my left. He was directly into the sun, and since I was having trouble identifying him in that light, I took a few ID shots to look at later. I decided I liked this one, although a little fill-flash might have been a good idea if I had thought about it at the time.

I like the look back pose, perch, BG color and composition. A good addition to this months theme Bill.

The colors did not come out well on the bird, but the texture did. Nice perch and background, Bill.
