Cloned out a few distracting elements in BG. Taken a few years ago in Louisiana.

Alan I like the almost tapestry look of the BG which makes the bird stand out very well ,bird small for the theme but still as plenty of detail and sharpness, very nice indeed.

What a great background this is!! The sunlit spoonbill looks good against that dark backdrop. I do feel the branch pointing up towards the neck could go to improve the composition's "flow". That is quite an orange face on this spoonbill!

Lovely looking frame Allen, the bird looks real good against the lovely BG. I wish for a better perch, but I would take that capture any day

Due to the light on the bird and the dark background, the bird stands out very well.

Nice light on the Spoonie, well placed in the frame; with a lovely evocative BG. Great for the theme. I agree it might be even better without the vertical stick.

I like the pose, HA, composition and how the bird stands out against the dark BG. Excellent image Allen!

I like it! That branch gone makes a big difference IMO.
