    Taken this afternoon by the beach just after a horrific rain storm.

    Nikon 70-200mm 2.8 vr
    Focal length: 200mm
    Shutter speed: 1/800 sec
    Aperture: 5.6
    Exposure mode: Av
    Exposure compensation: +1
    Metering mode: Multi-segment
    ISO: 400

    Great wing position and love that sky...maybe just a little lightening of the shadowsand bit of sharpening?

    Hi Oscar,
    Nice capture buddy,
    I love that subdued rainy sky.. I agree with the rest about lightening the details on your bird and giving it a slight pass of selective lightening and sharpening...I would crop from the top just above the cloud head and a tad from the bottom to convert this into a pano composition; since your are limited to the 200mm focal length. This should bring more attention to your subject. Try it and see if it works for you...:D I would show you but I'm at work, and do not have any editing software on this computer...wishing you the best on your vacation.

    Hi Oscar if you want to try that type image with a gull do need some dramatic bg colors like late in the day? For single birds get them up close and take advantage of the conditions.

    With clouds as you had here contrast is low and lots of detail can be had. Only need some bread and preferably a bread tosser !!! Will be in business in no time !!!!
