I think the pose is awesome, the bird looks like as if it is peeking through something and it's rather playful. I think you nailed the exposure here, but it might have back-focused a little bit. The focus seemed to fall on the wing and belly of the bird and the eye is rather soft. I am not sure about the blooms either. To me, it is distracting and has that "on your face" feel to it. I love love love the green background though. I think it works really well with the slightly yellowish belly.

Hello Roy. What a cute little fellow. I love the flower bud he is holding with his foot. Agree with Adhika on the focus. To me, this is one of those "almost" images that I would keep until I got a better one. Lovely pose, BG etc, but those OOF flowers really don't help. If only the bird was on the other side and the flowers a bit off to the side.

    TFS!

I'm kind of on the fence on this one.

I actually don't mind it that much. The bird is so sharp and well exposed, along with the great background,
my attention isn't entirely on the blossom. If the blossom was more sharp, then it would be a definite no
for me. Another plus, the blossoms aren't overexposed...if they were really white, then it would be a major
    distraction.

I think the one good thing you have going for it is the fact that bigger blossoms aren't blocking
the Chickadee, only the smaller, non blooming ones are.

Heck, with some careful work, you could probably clones those smaller one's out and show even more of the bird.

Roy the bird is very neat and sharp ,understand what the others are saying about the blossom but I think if you had some more room at the bottom it would make all the difference.

All said above. It is rare that an OOF FG can work well, but not every image has to conform to rules. The bird feels a bit oversharpened, but it had very nice tonal detail and a good pose. I think darkening the flowers a little could be a nice touch, and agree with Keith about wanting more at the bottom.
