I had fun on Sunday morning with these Mallards being curious about the thin ice that had formed around where my hide was(no chance of the KF then) at the loch side.

Thanks for the comments on the Coot.

An unusual pose and behaviour image with this bird moving with acute awareness. Techs look good if only very slightly soft. Nice work.

Ice brings a whole new dimension to bird photography. It provides so many amusing moments. You have provided a great moment here, it's almost as if the bird is afraid to put the other foot down. I like the low pov. Just enough reflection to make the link between bird and ice. Very nice lighting on the bird. TFS

KF stuck up in the ice would be good ! Surprised someone hasn,t done it ! (They will now!)

Hi Will, looks like you are still getting some cold stuff north of the border, stepping out duck on the ice looks really good.

A really interesting shot, the duck looks very gingerly about walking on the ice! I wonder if it would be possible to crop a little more, I sense you have some wonderful plumage detail.
