I found this strange looking beautiful pink flower while walking in the salt flats that are bordered by mangrove forests in Yucatan. I hope I can get back there again in a season when this flower opens up.

A fringed tulip? Beautiful as a flower or a flamingoI love the pose, Lorant, and the minimalist look. Thanks for posting! It's good to have you in OOTB.

Clever of you to spot the likeness to a flower. Love the colours on the bird. I think that the effect would be even more flower like if you cropped the water away.
Love the flower metaphor, too, but I wouldn't hope that it stays planted there til you get backNIce sharp feathers
Good creative thinking with this headless flamingo! I especially love the sweep of the tail feathers adding to that fringed look. Very lovely soft bkgd of layered colors.
What a fun image! Your commentary adds to the humor. Beautiful selective focus, detail in the feathers, and color.
Wonderful!! I love the detail in the flamingo.
