    Excellent find. Setting is not ideal but this is beyond control. The head needs sharpening a touch IMHO.

    Nice image of a rare bird. The tail looks well in focus compared to the head for some reason. Have you checked which focus point was active when the shot was made? I had to calibrate my 200-500 slightly as it was rear focussing that is why I ask.

    I am guessing this is a juvenile bird as the one I saw in the amazon was solid blue-grey and not brown

    Well exposed in that bright background
