I captured this image in Jan. of 2015 on the floor of a partially drained reservoir. There were roughly thirty or so HOLA and as we quietly moved towards them, little or nothing to cover our approach, they slowly edged further away. Since they were lifers for me I was not leaving without at least a "Small in Frame" image. C&C welcome.

    Geoffrey:

Well exposed, with interesting fluffed up pose. I wish there was a bit more detail on the back of the head, as it tends to blend into the Bg a bit. Always a challenge with small in frame images, getting enough separation from the background, since we often shoot them with smaller f/stops. Does this represent much of a crop?

    Cheers

    Thanks Randy,

I did do a little work on the head, but agree it probably could us a bit more for separation from BG. This represents a 35 to 40% crop.
