I like the colors and somewhat like the competition. I just wish you hadn't cropped out the reflection.

Hi Dan, what a beautiful woody portrait, looks sharp at the tip of it's beak to the eyes and I appreciate the detail on the beak. Many times the detail of the white on the beak is lost but you retained it on this one. To me, the background and water colors are just killer. My only thought is that the triple beak reflection and that red spot (eye reflection) on the border of the frame may be a distraction to an otherwise beautiful image. Possible crop out the reflection and open up the image and add some canvas all the way around. Not sure if this was cropped or full frame? Great job steve

Right down the gut it could be said. Neat perspective, low POV, colors and feather detail look perfect for a woody. Thank you for sharing, Dan.

Gorgeous colorful and sharp image. I'd also like to see all of the reflection, but that's a minor point.

Hi Dan, I really like the perspective on this one, the bow wave provides a nice sense of speed too and moving forward. Personally I would have liked the head to be more square on to the viewer, but that's perhaps in an ideal world. I do feel here that the blue is very dominant and in part over powering, just even removing it from the subject i.e. crown and plumage it looks far better IMHO

I like the low perspective on this one and Colors and details of this Drake are beautiful. Nice background also. Well done Dan.
