    A lovely catch with a very nice BG. I love the water reflections on the underwing. But the tonalities (or colors?) in the head and tan parts of the body look too flat. Is the bill supposed to be gray?

    Could be nice to pull out a little more detail in the darkest areas.

    Hi Jon, nice capture and the little look back pose compensates for the bird flying away from us. I'm with Diane as some of the image does look too flat!

    On reflection I agree it does look a little muted, the light was making for a very contrasting image, here is a double processed version.
