I captured this image at Circle B Bar Reserve at the end of May last year. The water level had dropped so the wading birds were attracted to the remaining pools of water to feed on the trapped fish. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

I like the head angle and really like the expression of the bird and how it was looking at you. I could imagine a vertical crop as well but certainly in this horizontal version I'd place the bird in a less centered position. TFS.

Thanks Lorant for viewing and commenting, much appreciated. If possible I always work up different versions using Create Virtual Copy in Lightroom. Above is a vertical as you suggested.

Nicely exposed and good eye contact. While I prefer the vertical crop, it seems a bit tight. Given another opportunity, this might do very well if you could get a slightly lower viewpoint.

Wonderful sharpness and detail that held up well to the crop. I'm conflicted about the reflection -- more of it or less... It's so nice it makes me want to see the whole ting.
